Ephesians 2:4-5 (AMP):
"But God, being [so very] rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us, even when we were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of our sins, made us [spiritually] alive together with Christ (for by His grace—His undeserved favor and mercy—you have been saved from God’s judgment)."
According to Hebrews 4:16 (AMP), "therefore, let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God's gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]."

Praise God, Church Family of Faith!
In today's world, there are many people who act in unmerciful ways. In a world where people are quick to judge and slow to forgive, unforgiving, and unkind, you see people, even believers, being judgmental. Christians are obligated to "understand God's mercy" and demonstrate it to others, as it can transform our lives. It is important to understand the true meaning of mercy and how it can transform our lives.
Dear Christian brothers and sisters: Let us today "understand God's mercy." Hallelujah!
According to Ephesians 2:4-5 (AMP), God's mercy brought us back to life through Christ Jesus, meaning our past mistakes and failures no longer hold us back. Through Christ Jesus, we have been given new life.
Hebrews 4:16 (AMP) reminds us that we have access to God's throne of grace due to Christ Jesus. This is meant to remind us that we are not perfect and will make mistakes, but God's grace is available to us at all times. We can come to God with our weaknesses and struggles, and God will give us the strength and assistance we need.
Hebrews 4:16 (AMP) reminds us believers of our privilege to approach God's throne of grace and receive God's mercy. However, many of you believers have yet to grasp God's mercy, and the devil is preventing you from extending the mercy you have freely received from God to others in need. You must be wondering how.
The devil has prevented many people from sharing the mercy they have undeservedly received from God with others. Believers, in particular, are not living up to their full potential due to their past mistakes and failures, which the devil uses to suffocate them. God desires for believers to live a life of liberty and abundance, and Christ Jesus says in John 10:10 (NLT) that his purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. If believers are bound by their past or label others based on their past, they cannot live a life that understands God's mercy.
People are often judged based on their past mistakes and failures, leading to feelings of hopelessness and being stuck in life. This is evident in the lives of believers who have been incarcerated, addicted, or labeled as "troublemakers".
Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT) states that God's mercy is greater than any mistake you've made and that everyone is now defined by God's grace. This is supported by the fact that the Lord has plans for you, not disaster, to give you a future and hope. If you were spiritually dead and a sinner, why would you give disaster instead of the same hope and good you received from Christ Jesus? The reason for this is that you are still subject to the stifling effect of the devil's judgment and condemnation, and you must be liberated in order to "understand God's mercy."
How do you overcome the devil's judgment and condemnation as a believer?
First, you must recognize and accept God's mercy. You must first recognize that God's mercy is something you do not earn or deserve. You must understand that God's mercy is a free gift given to you through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus.
Second, you must understand that your past mistakes and failures do not define you; who you are in Christ Jesus does. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (GNT) states that joining Christ makes you a new being. You must release your past and embrace your new life in Christ Jesus.
Finally, you must be merciful to yourself and others, as exemplified in Psalm 86:15 (NLT), and show others the same mercy, even when it is challenging.
In conclusion, understanding God's mercy is essential to living a life of freedom and purpose. You must see yourself and others through the eyes of grace and let go of past mistakes and failures. Show mercy to yourself and others. Let us pray.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your mercy and grace. I thank you for giving me a new life through Christ Jesus. Help me to extend that same mercy to others, even when it is difficult. Help me to show mercy to myself and to others. Help me to let go of both my own and other people's past mistakes and failures and allow me to embrace my new life in Christ Jesus. May I never forget that I myself and those others, regardless of how they appear to be or are judged, are all defined by your love and not our past mistakes. Perfect God's mercy on me, Holy Spirit, for my goodness and the glory of God Almighty in heaven, in Christ Jesus' mighty name, I have prayed. Amen.
