Renew Your Minds: Fasting Day 5

Praise God, Church Family of Faith!

Thank you for fasting this week.

Today is day five of our week's fasting as we fast to renew our minds. 

Day 5 Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (AMP)

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (AMP Bible) states that: 

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is within you, whom you have [received as a gift] from God, and that you are not your own [property]? You were bought with a price [you were actually purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own]. So then, honor and glorify God with your body."

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds believers that their bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that they should honor God with their bodies.

Fasting Lesson: 

During your fast, it is important to not only abstain from food or certain behaviors, but also to honor God with your bodies by taking care of them and treating them with respect.

Ask yourself: Am I honoring God with my body by taking care of it and treating it with respect?

Let us pray: 

Dear Lord, as I break my fast, I ask for your help in honoring you with my body. Help me to take care of my body and treat it with respect, knowing that it is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Thank you for joining us today on this beautiful journey of spiritual discipline and growth through fasting. 

With this gospel message, lesson  and prayer I believe you have been Church Built and Healed for your good and the glory of the LORD ALMIGHTY.
