Inner Peace

John 14:27 (AMP):

"Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]"

Praise God, Church Family of Faith!

Inner peace is deeply rooted in the teachings of the Bible. The Scriptures reveal that true peace comes from a relationship with God and a surrender to God's will. In John 14:27 (AMP), Christ Jesus says, "Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge."

Inner peace, according to the Bible, is not merely the absence of conflict or external troubles. Inner peace is a state of tranquilly and contentment that surpasses human understanding, even in the midst of trials and tribulations. Philippians 4:7 (AMP) affirms this: "And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]."

What Inner Peace Is Not Today:

In our modern world, the pursuit of inner peace has been distorted and misunderstood. Many people seek peace through material possessions, success, or relationships, only to find themselves still feeling empty and restless. The world offers temporary solutions that cannot satisfy the deep peace longing within our souls.

True inner peace cannot be found in external circumstances or worldly achievements. Inner peace is not a result of having a trouble-free life or being in control of everything. Inner peace is not the absence of problems but rather the presence of God's peace within us, regardless of our circumstances.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today I want to address each one of you individually and remind you of the incredible gift of inner peace that God offers. It is my prayer that, as we explore this message together, you will experience a renewed sense of peace and a deeper understanding of its significance in your life. Let's explore inner peace in three ways;

1. Inner Peace through a Relationship with God:

The foundation of inner peace lies in your relationship with God. As believers, you have the privilege of experiencing a personal connection with your Heavenly Father through Christ Jesus. It is through this relationship that you can find true peace. Christ Jesus said in John 16:33 (AMP), "I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world, you have tribulation, distress, and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world."

2. Inner Peace in the Midst of Trials:

Inner peace does not mean the absence of trials but rather the presence of God's peace in the midst of them. When you face challenges, you can find comfort in knowing that God is with you. Isaiah 26:3 (AMP) assures us, "You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]."

3. Inner Peace through Surrender:

To experience true inner peace, you must surrender your lives to God's will. When you trust in God's plan and submit yourself to His guidance, you can find rest for your soul. Christ Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28–29 (AMP), "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [by following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls."

In whatever circumstance you are dealing with inner peace, given the three ways in which we have addressed inner peace here, remember that true inner peace can only be found in a relationship with God through Christ Jesus. Inner peace is not a fleeting feeling or a result of external circumstances, but a deep and abiding peace that surpasses all understanding. May we all seek this peace diligently, surrendering our lives to God's will and trusting in God's plan.

Let us pray,

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of inner peace that You offer me through Christ Jesus. Help me to seek Your presence and surrender my life to Your will. Fill me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and empower me to live a life that reflects Your peace to the world. May Your peace guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In Christ's mighty name, I have prayed. Amen.

You have been Church-Built and healed. Please voluntarily and sincerely give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love in all circumstances. This is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Pray, tithe, and sow healing seeds to Him, who can do immeasurably more than you ask or imagine. Act in faith and obedience, and be doers of the word, not just hearers.
