Spiritual Transformation: Being spiritually dead is costing you not to be cared for by God

Praise God Church!!

Ask yourself. Are my spiritually dead not to be cared for by Christ Jesus or I am spiritually alive to be Cared for by Christ Jesus?

Recently I wondered why we always say we are Christians and yet we still follow in our wicked cultural traditions that are against the discipleship of Christ Jesus. I have realized that not all who come to church believe in Christ Jesus. Put differently, I have realized that not all who attend church services truly follow Christ Jesus for the good news preached in our churches.

When analyzed in the perspective of Uganda and other African countries including Kenya and Nigeria, not every building holding a signage of "church" cares for the body of Christ Jesus. In fact most so called churches today do not care at all about Christ Jesus. All they care about is making money under the guise of being churches. The church today both leaders and saints are all eaten up and ruined by wicked deeds which pauses a total contradiction of what the church is meant to be. So be surprised not for many so called Christians will come to you camouflaged that it will take you so long to find out who they really serve.

Child of God, decide now to be Spiritually alive and reject spiritual death.

Do not be fooled by overly large crowds at certain churches. When a church is overwhelmed by crowds, it is most likely to have followers who are spiritually dead and not believers who are spiritually alive. In the Bible (Matthew 8:18-22 NLT), when Jesus noticed how Large the crowd was growing because they had learned of the miracles he performed as opposed to believing in him, Jesus was quick to refuse to take care of the selfish interests of the wicked disciples in the crowd. This was so in the sense that, when the Religious law teacher intended to follow Jesus to investigate him- Jesus denied the teacher the chance by refusing to be followed; on the other hand, the other disciple of Jesus was blocked from prioritizing burying his dead father first before following Jesus. The later disciple was allowed to follow Jesus on condition that he never first went to bury his dead father. This later disciple represents you child of God. The Lord shows you that in whatever you do let God be your prority with no compromise because besides God every other this is spiritually useless.

The common example of how we chase around the wind is that most of you Christians on receiving salary, instead of taking your tithes and thanksgiving off first, all you do is take bill payments off first and the remaining pocket change is what you present to God. Child of God, this is being spiritually dead, you are no different from someone first going to bury their father on a Sunday and then thinking of attending prayers on another day. Christ Jesus (Matthew 8:21-22 NLT) shows us that it is wrong to attend a funeral or burial first in the face of any opportunity of prayers as this only demonstrates how much you are spiritually dead and that you do not deserve to be cared for by Christ Jesus but by your fellow others who are as spiritually dead as you are.
It is understanable for you to wonder which sort of disciple you are. Are you a true disciple to be allowed to follow Christ Jesus even against your initial decision or you are pretending to be part of the crowd as a disciple who cares for Christ Jesus? In the Bible (Matthew 7:21-23 NLT), Jesus says that, "Not all people who sound religious are really godly." You may refer to Jesus as 'Lord' but you still will not enter the Kingdom of heaven because you have taken the grace of Jesus for granted. Some of you because your pastor is devoted to praying for you all the time, you have ignored understanding who Christ Jesus is, you never walk in his pathways, you say you are a Christian yet you do all wicked things that identify you to be against Christ Jesus. In turn when you feel convinced that your prayers are to be answered, Jesus responds as in the Bible (Matthew 7:23 NLT) and says, "I never knew you. Go away; the things you did were unauthorized." Child of God in all you do everything you do must be authorized in accordance to how Christ lived his time on earth. Doing otherwise is doing what is not authorized. Always try to be led by the Holy Spirit, refuse to be led by the power of sin and you will walk the authorized pathways of Christ Jesus where there is life. Be that believer who truely follows Christ Jesus.

As a believer of Christ Jesus, you ought to be aware of false prophets. The intention of wicked prophets is not to care for you the true believers. The Bible (Matthew 7:15 NLT) shows that they come to you.."to tear you apart." So be careful, believe in God and not pastors or prophets. That is what Christ Jesus meant for you to understand between the teacher of religious law who vowed to follow Jesus no matter where Jesus went (Matthew 8:19 NLT), and the other believer who Jesus intended to protect from being torn apart, when Jesus told his disciple who intended to first return home to first bury his father not to go, for the Bible (Matthew 8:21-22 NLT) shows that Jesus told him, "Follow me now! Let those who are spiritually dead care for their own dead." You therefore have to be closer to the word of God and Submit yourself to Christ if you are to understand all those that are pretending to be disciples of Christ Jesus.

To understand the false disciples or prophets of Christ, focus on how they act for you not to be deceived by their words (Matthew 7:16 NLT). If you thought you could identify them from  a distance, they are hard to differentiate.  Focus on their health as well by observing the fruit that comes of them- is it a devil wicked fruit or a Christ Jesus good fruit?

Devil Wicked fruits to watch out for (What wicked things are those false disciples and prophets doing to you?) (Ezekiel 13:18-23, 14:3, Isaiah 57:4-11, Deuteronomy 4:16-19 NLT) they;
  • Practice nose thumbing against you the believer
  • Set Idols in you the believer's heart
  • Women tie magic charms on their wrists and furnish them with magic veils against you
  • Take you the believer to idol worship for some pay arrangement in return
  • Discourage you the believer with lies
  • Talk to you the believer of visions they never saw or invent own prophecies from own imaginations
  • Mock, make faces and stick out tongues- signs of children of sinners, liars, witches, adulterers, prostitutes among you believers
  • Worship idols and look for the children of believers to be presented in valleys and hanging rocks where they worship from as human sacrifices

Worshiping Idols involves smooth stones, diverse offerings, inheritance of idols as opposed to God, going to mountain tops, setting up of gods behind closed doors, loving idols instead of God, gift giving to idols, traveling far in the world of the dead to find more new gods to love, growing weary in search for idols while never giving up but keeping strong to go on in the search, showing fear for idols instead of God, remembering idols and always thinking of them instead of God, corrupting each other by making physical images in many forms including human or birds or animals or creeping creatures and even fish, your even seduced by the sun or moon or stars which you also worship instead of God (Isaiah 57:5-13, Deuteronomy 4:16-19 NLT). This is all wrong worship child of God. Doing all these is breaking the covenant of God. This idol worship is done by those who do not believe in Christ Jesus, it is these that Christ Jesus referred to as spiritually dead (Matthew 8:22 NLT) to be cared for by their fellow dead. In other words do not expect to be care for by our Lord Christ Jesus while you are still worshiping Idols and still full of all sorts of sinful wicked ways. Stop worshiping idols for the consequence is death and not life.

Child of God, whenever you worship idols in all your actions and not God, the implications are drastic that you are not allowed to be cared for by the Lord. What are those implications?

Idol worship means you have declared that you are not spiritually transformed- it is self condeming that you refuse to be cared for by Christ Jesus. The Bible (Joel 3, Ezekiel 13, 14, Deuteronomy 4, Isaiah 57 NLT) shows that this implies that:
  • You have taken all God's silver, gold, all treasures and taken them to your pagan temples
  • You have sold God's people to evil
  • You have refused to listen to the word of the LORD
  • You have done nothing to strengthen your bodies for the Kingdom of God. You are not allowing your bodies to stand firm in battle for God's salvation
  • You are evil disguised as peaceful - a white washer
  • You ensnare the souls of God's people- young and old
  • You have brought destruction on yourself
  • You have killed God's people who should not die, yet you promise life to those evil who should not live
  • You have discouraged the righteous with lies and forced them to suffer grief, yet you have again encouraged the wicked by promising them life, even though they continue in their sins.
  • You fall into sin intentionally and then you run to a prophet asking for help
  • You are encouraging loathsome practices
  • You are rejecting God for idols in your hearts and as such your always falling into sin and you then go to a prophet asking for God's advice- You have actually strayed from God.
  • You have broken the covenant the LORD your God has made with you by making idols of all shape or form
  • You have committed adultery on the maintain tops by worshiping idols there, so you have been unfaithful to God.
  • You have worshiped idols, not God- you have loved idols instead of God. Your in bed with gods.
  • You have not feared God, you don't remember God of think of God.

Child of God, all this while you have been so comfortable with evil that you have deceived yurself that that the bad fruits and deeds of the devil are the good fruits and deeds of the LORD. Be transformed by God from all your evil ways today. How do you get transformed by God from all evil and its wickedness (Isaiah 57, Deuteronomy 4 NLT)?Wright now for you who has accepted to follow Christ Jesus;
  • God is exposing all the idols and evil expressed in you so as to transform you by himself.
  • God exposes your so-called good deeds that you consider so righteous
  • God says none of the evil deeds will benefit or save you
  • God says idols can't do anything for you when you cry to them down,
  • The LORD your God has forbidden you from idols. Following them means you will live short, and will hardly survive
I see you want the redemption to happen so quick after your entire period of rebeling against God. Child of God, the LORD says all the while you wasted time worshiping idols and yet you never gave up even when they never cared for you, so now the LORD your God says (Deuteronomy 4:29-33 NLT) that since you got nothing from idols, in order for you to find him, "search for your LORD God again with all your heart and soul" and you will find your LORD God. If you feel you are facing bitter days and you are not being cared for, the LORD says return to him and listen to what he tells you. Once you submit yourself to him, God is merciful enough to forgive you and take care of you. All God wants you to do is to acknowledge him as the only true God for there is only one true God you have to worship in truth. Start worshiping him now and his voice will speak to you and save you.

The Bible (Deuteronomy 4:35, 36 NLT) says that, "the LORD is God and there is no other god." He "lets you hear his voice from heaven so that" he "himself can instruct you." The LORD wants to take care of you, only you are not allowing him, so when you submit to him and reject the devil (James 4:7-8 NLT), He the LORD himself will take care of you by bringing "you out of evil with a great display of power, because he loved your ancestors and has chosen to bless you." So put this firm in your mind: The LORD is God both in heaven and on earth and there is no other god (Deuteronomy 4:39 NLT). Therefore allow to be cared for and transformed by God himself. All God demands of you is to obey all his requirements, so that you and your children are transformed to enjoy the care of having a long life, healthy life, peaceful life, protected life, happy life and all the rest you find in God as his accepted and approved child.
Once you continue to worship idols and devote to evil worship, that alone denies you access to God's care. In the Bible (Ezekiel 4:3 NLT) God asks, "why should he let you ask him anything yet you embrace things that are against his will?" For your stubbornness you have been a prisoner and are still a prisoner to sin. The LORD is giving you a chance, he says he brings you back from all evil imprisonment to which you were sold and he pays you back (Joel 3:7 NLT). God pours out his Spirit upon all people and with his spirit you are transformed to prophesy, to dream dreams, to see visions (Joel 2:28 NLT). Anyone who therefore calls on the name of the LORD will be saved and cared for (Joel 2:32 NLT). The LORD therefore says to you, “turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the LORD your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish. Who knows? Perhaps he will give you a reprieve, sending you a blessing instead of this curse (Joel 2:12-14 NLT). You may be asking why you are still in ruins and whether God really hears your cry. For as long as you submit to God, he is waiting to care for you and he is not deaf. It is you that is taking long to submit to him and worship only him in truth.
Listen child of God, the LORD is too strong to save you. Do not think you can care for yourself as you will only hurt yourself. You believing that you can take care of yourself is being stubborn, with a stone heart and that is sin in God's face. The Bible (Isaiah 59:1-2, 9 NLT) shows that the LORD is too strong to save you and he is never deaf. God hears you when you can- but there is a problem- your sins have cut you off from God. It is because of your evil that your deliverance is far from you and that is why God is not even bothered punishing those who injure you. You are not being cared for because being cared for takes your devotion to submit yourself to God and move a further steps of always keeping closer to God so that God also keeps closer to you.

Look child of God, you have tried to search around for friends and relatives to save you and not one of them is willing or ready to put himself in your place for your suffering, all these the LORD knows. You have tried many things on your own and where you expected light or success, you instead are in darkness, you walk in gloom, you grope like blind people and stumble along even at brightest noontime, you fall down as though it were dark (Isaiah 59:9-10 NLT). Why do you keep wasting time. Submit to God Now. Stop being like corpses when compared to fellow peers with looks of someone too old and not cared for yet you are still young to look better by submitting your life to God. Stop acting hungry and always mournful when Christ Jesus is at your midst.

Stop delaying your care from God. The Bible (Isaiah 59:12-15 NLT) argues that you know what sinner you are: you know so well how spiritually dead you are that you even testify against yourself. Your evil is between you and God. God knows everything about you. You may deceive the pastor or someone else but you can never deceive God. You know you have rebelled against the LORD, you have turned your backs on God- back then you used to tithes and give thanks with gratitude but not anymore today. You know how unfair and oppressive you have been all the times you have carefully planned your deceitful lies. Truth has fallen dead in you because you are spiritually dead, you need to renew your life by accepting Christ Jesus as you Lord and Savior. Truth is gone even in the society and the few believers who try to live a godly life are soon attacked.

How has God intervened on realizing that even the few godly are attacked? The LORD (Isaiah 59:16-21 NLT) has looked and he is displeased to find no justice, no one has intervened to help the oppressed. Because of lack of a single person coming out to genuinely care for another person, God himself has stepped in to save the oppressed  with his mighty power and justice. He has put on righteousness as his body armor, placed the helmet of salvation on his head as he has clothed himself with the robes of vengeance and godly fury. You must refuse to be an enemy of God. God repays his enemies for their evil deeds. Why should you wait for God's fury on your evil deeds. Why wait to be transformed.

You will be transformed to respect and glorify the name of the LORD throughout the world. The LORD through Christ Jesus has come like a flood tide driven by the breath of the LORD. The time is now for you to turn from your sins and accept Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior. The Redeemer has come to you who are spiritually dead and imprisoned by evil, says the LORD, so as "to buy back those..who have turned from their sins (Isaiah 59:20 NLT). The LORD makes covenant with you to redeem you. He say, "My Spirit will not leave you, and neither will my words I have given you. My words will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children's children forever. I, the LORD have spoken (Isaiah 59:21 NLT).  Child of God, with this covenant is assurance of God caring for you forever. This is justified with Christ Jesus being with you (Galatians 2:20-21 NLT) all the time today for those that have confessed their sins, submitted their lives to Christ, rejected the devil and gotten closer to God.

It is already late for you to give your life to Christ so as for God to start caring for you act now.

SCRIPTURES:

Deuteronomy 4:16-19, 29-36  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
16_“At that time I instructed the judges, ‘You must hear the cases of your fellow Israelites and the foreigners living among you. Be perfectly fair in your decisions 17_and impartial in your judgments. Hear the cases of those who are poor as well as those who are rich. Don’t be afraid of anyone’s anger, for the decision you make is God’s decision. Bring me any cases that are too difficult for you, and I will handle them.’18_“At that time I gave you instructions about everything you were to do. 19_“Then, just as the LORD our God commanded us, we left Mount Sinai and traveled through the great and terrifying wilderness, as you yourselves remember, and headed toward the hill country of the Amorites. When we arrived at Kadesh-barnea, 29_“But I said to you, ‘Don’t be shocked or afraid of them! 30_The LORD your God is going ahead of you. He will fight for you, just as you saw him do in Egypt. 31_And you saw how the LORD your God cared for you all along the way as you traveled through the wilderness, just as a father cares for his child. Now he has brought you to this place.’ 32_“But even after all he did, you refused to trust the LORD your God, 33_who goes before you looking for the best places to camp, guiding you with a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day.
34_“When the LORD heard your complaining, he became very angry. So he solemnly swore, 35_‘Not one of you from this wicked generation will live to see the good land I swore to give your ancestors, 36_except Caleb son of Jephunneh. He will see this land because he has followed the LORD completely. I will give to him and his descendants some of the very land he explored during his scouting mission.’

Ezekiel 4:3, 13-14  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
3_Then take an iron griddle and place it between you and the city. Turn toward the city and demonstrate how harsh the siege will be against Jerusalem. This will be a warning to the people of Israel. 13_Then the LORD said, “This is how Israel will eat defiled bread in the Gentile lands to which I will banish them!” 14_Then I said, “O Sovereign LORD, must I be defiled by using human dung? For I have never been defiled before. From the time I was a child until now I have never eaten any animal that died of sickness or was killed by other animals. I have never eaten any meat forbidden by the law.”

Ezekiel 13:1-23  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
Judgment against False Prophets
1_Then this message came to me from the LORD: 2_“Son of man, prophesy against the false prophets of Israel who are inventing their own prophecies. Say to them, ‘Listen to the word of the LORD. 3_This is what the Sovereign LORD says: What sorrow awaits the false prophets who are following their own imaginations and have seen nothing at all!’
4_“O people of Israel, these prophets of yours are like jackals digging in the ruins. 5_They have done nothing to repair the breaks in the walls around the nation. They have not helped it to stand firm in battle on the day of the LORD. 6_Instead, they have told lies and made false predictions. They say, ‘This message is from the LORD,’ even though the LORD never sent them. And yet they expect him to fulfill their prophecies! 7_Can your visions be anything but false if you claim, ‘This message is from the LORD,’ when I have not even spoken to you? 8_“Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because what you say is false and your visions are a lie, I will stand against you, says the Sovereign LORD. 9_I will raise my fist against all the prophets who see false visions and make lying predictions, and they will be banished from the community of Israel. I will blot their names from Israel’s record books, and they will never again set foot in their own land. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign LORD. 10_“This will happen because these evil prophets deceive my people by saying, ‘All is peaceful’ when there is no peace at all! It’s as if the people have built a flimsy wall, and these prophets are trying to reinforce it by covering it with whitewash! 11_Tell these whitewashers that their wall will soon fall down. A heavy rainstorm will undermine it; great hailstones and mighty winds will knock it down. 12_And when the wall falls, the people will cry out, ‘What happened to your whitewash?’13_“Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will sweep away your whitewashed wall with a storm of indignation, with a great flood of anger, and with hailstones of fury. 14_I will break down your wall right to its foundation, and when it falls, it will crush you. Then you will know that I am the LORD15_At last my anger against the wall and those who covered it with whitewash will be satisfied. Then I will say to you: ‘The wall and those who whitewashed it are both gone. 16_They were lying prophets who claimed peace would come to Jerusalem when there was no peace. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken!’
Judgment against False Women Prophets
17_“Now, son of man, speak out against the women who prophesy from their own imaginations.18_This is what the Sovereign LORD says: What sorrow awaits you women who are ensnaring the souls of my people, young and old alike. You tie magic charms on their wrists and furnish them with magic veils. Do you think you can trap others without bringing destruction on yourselves? 19_You bring shame on me among my people for a few handfuls of barley or a piece of bread. By lying to my people who love to listen to lies, you kill those who should not die, and you promise life to those who should not live. 20_“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against all your magic charms, which you use to ensnare my people like birds. I will tear them from your arms, setting my people free like birds set free from a cage. 21_I will tear off the magic veils and save my people from your grasp. They will no longer be your victims. Then you will know that I am the LORD. 22_You have discouraged the righteous with your lies, but I didn’t want them to be sad. And you have encouraged the wicked by promising them life, even though they continue in their sins. 23_Because of all this, you will no longer talk of seeing visions that you never saw, nor will you make predictions. For I will rescue my people from your grasp. Then you will know that I am the LORD.”

Ezekiel 14  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
The Idolatry of Israel’s Leaders
1_Then some of the leaders of Israel visited me, and while they were sitting with me, 2_this message came to me from the LORD: 3_“Son of man, these leaders have set up idols in their hearts. They have embraced things that will make them fall into sin. Why should I listen to their requests? 4_Tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: The people of Israel have set up idols in their hearts and fallen into sin, and then they go to a prophet asking for a message. So I, the LORD, will give them the kind of answer their great idolatry deserves. 5_I will do this to capture the minds and hearts of all my people who have turned from me to worship their detestable idols.’ 6_“Therefore, tell the people of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Repent and turn away from your idols, and stop all your detestable sins. 7_I, the LORD, will answer all those, both Israelites and foreigners, who reject me and set up idols in their hearts and so fall into sin, and who then come to a prophet asking for my advice. 8_I will turn against such people and make a terrible example of them, eliminating them from among my people. Then you will know that I am the LORD. 9_“‘And if a prophet is deceived into giving a message, it is because I, the LORD, have deceived that prophet. I will lift my fist against such prophets and cut them off from the community of Israel. 10_False prophets and those who seek their guidance will all be punished for their sins. 11_In this way, the people of Israel will learn not to stray from me, polluting themselves with sin. They will be my people, and I will be their God. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken!’” The Certainty of the LORD’s Judgment 12_Then this message came to me from the LORD: 13_“Son of man, suppose the people of a country were to sin against me, and I lifted my fist to crush them, cutting off their food supply and sending a famine to destroy both people and animals. 14_Even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were there, their righteousness would save no one but themselves, says the Sovereign LORD. 15_“Or suppose I were to send wild animals to invade the country, kill the people, and make the land too desolate and dangerous to pass through. 16_As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, even if those three men were there, they wouldn’t be able to save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved, but the land would be made desolate. 17_“Or suppose I were to bring war against the land, and I sent enemy armies to destroy both people and animals. 18_As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, even if those three men were there, they wouldn’t be able to save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved. 19_“Or suppose I were to pour out my fury by sending an epidemic into the land, and the disease killed people and animals alike. 20_As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were there, they wouldn’t be able to save their own sons or daughters. They alone would be saved by their righteousness.

21_“Now this is what the Sovereign LORD says: How terrible it will be when all four of these dreadful punishments fall upon Jerusalem—war, famine, wild animals, and disease—destroying all her people and animals. 22_Yet there will be survivors, and they will come here to join you as exiles in Babylon. You will see with your own eyes how wicked they are, and then you will feel better about what I have done to Jerusalem. 23_When you meet them and see their behavior, you will understand that these things are not being done to Israel without cause. I, the Sovereign LORD, have spoken!”

Galatians 2:20-21  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
20_My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21_I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.
Isaiah 57: 4-13  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
Idolatrous Worship Condemned
3_“But you—come here, you witches’ children, you offspring of adulterers and prostitutes! 4_Whom do you mock, making faces and sticking out your tongues? You children of sinners and liars! 5_You worship your idols with great passion beneath the oaks and under every green tree. You sacrifice your children down in the valleys, among the jagged rocks in the cliffs. 6_Your gods are the smooth stones in the valleys. You worship them with liquid offerings and grain offerings. They, not I, are your inheritance. Do you think all this makes me happy? 7_You have committed adultery on every high mountain. There you have worshiped idols and have been unfaithful to me. 8_You have put pagan symbols on your doorposts and behind your doors. You have left me and climbed into bed with these detestable gods. You have committed yourselves to them. You love to look at their naked bodies. 9_You have given olive oil to Molech with many gifts of perfume. You have traveled far, even into the world of the dead, to find new gods to love. 10_You grew weary in your search, but you never gave up.Desire gave you renewed strength, and you did not grow weary. 11_“Are you afraid of these idols?Do they terrify you?Is that why you have lied to me and forgotten me and my words? Is it because of my long silence that you no longer fear me? 12_Now I will expose your so-called good deeds.None of them will help you. 13_ Let’s see if your idols can save you when you cry to them for help. Why, a puff of wind can knock them down!If you just breathe on them, they fall over! But whoever trusts in me will inherit the land and possess my holy mountain.” God Forgives the Repentant 14_God says, “Rebuild the road!Clear away the rocks and stones so my people can return from captivity.” 15_The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this:“I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble.I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts. 16_For I will not fight against you forever;I will not always be angry. If I were, all people would pass away—all the souls I have made. 17_I was angry,so I punished these greedy people.I withdrew from them, but they kept going on their own stubborn way. 18_I have seen what they do,but I will heal them anyway!I will lead them.I will comfort those who mourn, 19_bringing words of praise to their lips.May they have abundant peace, both near and far,”says the LORD, who heals them. 20_“But those who still reject me are like the restless sea, which is never still but continually churns up mud and dirt. 21_There is no peace for the wicked,”says my God.

Isaiah 59:1-2, 9-10-21  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
Warnings against Sin
1_Listen! The LORD’s arm is not too weak to save you,nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. 2_It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore. 9_So there is no justice among us,and we know nothing about right living. We look for light but find only darkness. We look for bright skies but walk in gloom. 10_We grope like the blind along a wall, feeling our way like people without eyes.Even at brightest noontime,we stumble as though it were dark.Among the living,we are like the dead. 11_We growl like hungry bears; we moan like mournful doves. We look for justice, but it never comes. We look for rescue, but it is far away from us. 12_For our sins are piled up before God and testify against us.Yes, we know what sinners we are. 13_We know we have rebelled and have denied the LORD.We have turned our backs on our God.We know how unfair and oppressive we have been, carefully planning our deceitful lies. 14_Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found.Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed. 15_Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked. The LORD looked and was displeased to find there was no justice. 16_He was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed. So he himself stepped in to save them with his strong arm,and his justice sustained him. 17_He put on righteousness as his body armor and placed the helmet of salvation on his head.He clothed himself with a robe of vengeance and wrapped himself in a cloak of divine passion. 18_He will repay his enemies for their evil deeds. His fury will fall on his foes.He will pay them back even to the ends of the earth. 19_In the west, people will respect the name of the LORD; in the east, they will glorify him.For he will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the LORD. 20_“The Redeemer will come to Jerusalem to buy back those in Israel who have turned from their sins,” says the LORD. 21_“And this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD. “My Spirit will not leave them, and neither will these words I have given you. They will be on your lips and on the lips of your children and your children’s children forever. I, the LORD, have spoken!

James 4:7-8   Holy Bible, New Living Translation
7_So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8_Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

Joel 2:12-14, 28-32  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
12_That is why the LORD says,“Turn to me now, while there is time.Give me your hearts.Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. 13_Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.”Return to the LORD your God,for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.He is eager to relent and not punish. 14_Who knows? Perhaps he will give you a reprieve, sending you a blessing instead of this curse. Perhaps you will be able to offer grain and wine to the LORD your God as before. 28_Then, after doing all those things,I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.Your sons and daughters will prophesy.Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. 29_In those days I will pour out my Spiriteven on servants—men and women alike. 30_And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth—blood and fire and columns of smoke. 31_The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood redbefore that great and terrible day of the LORD arrives. 32_But everyone who calls on the name of the LORDwill be saved, for some on Mount Zion in Jerusalem will escape, just as the LORD has said. These will be among the survivorswhom the LORD has called.
Joel 3:7  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
7_“But I will bring them back from all the places to which you sold them, and I will pay you back for everything you have done.

Matthew 7:15-16, 21-23  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
The Tree and Its Fruit
15_“Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. 16_You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
True Disciples
21_“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22_On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23_But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’

Matthew 8:18-22  Holy Bible, New Living Translation
The Cost of Following Jesus
18_When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he instructed his disciples to cross to the other side of the lake. 19_Then one of the teachers of religious law said to him, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” 20_But Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens to live in, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place even to lay his head.” 21_Another of his disciples said, “Lord, first let me return home and bury my father.” 22_But Jesus told him, “Follow me now. Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead.”
