A Real Friend Sticks Closer Than a Brother

Proverbs 18:24 NLT : 

"There are 'friends' who destroy each other, but a real friend Sticks Closer than a Brother. " (NLT Bible)

What kind of friend are you? 

Child of God, be careful which friend you have. 

According to the Bible (Proverbs 18:24 NLT), You have a pretender in your life that you call a friend. This pretender is only with you when you have something and never with you when you have nothing. That is a phony friend and never a real friend. 

Child of God and Family of Faith, some people come into your life only to pretend to be your friends and by any cost act friendly when at heart they never mean it. 

Why would someone be a phony friend?

1st. The person may want to look good (the person may want to be seen with the right people so that those who see think they too are right as well yet they are there only for a show) or 

2nd. The person may have got into the friendship with a motive of gaining something through the 'friendship.' In such relationship, instead of being a friend the person who gets into the relationship with a motive of gaining at the other's expense makes sure s/he strictly only uses you for their own gain. 

Child of God, as a Christian you should not be like this. Instead be different in Christ Jesus; 

1. Show respect for one another, and

2. Show Love for one another, and

3. Be honest with one another. 

What Kind of Friend are You?

Be that Brother, that Sister in Christ Jesus and stop being Phony to tap in the grace of our Lord Christ Jesus.
