Walk BOLDLY with God through Coronavirus and other disasters

COVID-19 has been received with great shock and surprise. Anyway, there is no disaster that has ever come in a welcoming way.

The church, the Ministries, the Missions (the preaching, the teaching, the healing, the deliverance) the worship, the praise, and life of everyone has all been redefined no matter which continent, no matter which country.

Most critical though, much as everyone is facing the wave, we are all affected in diverse forms. The way established ministries face the wave is not the same way starting and emerging ministries are facing the wave. The way first world countries are facing the wave with extensions of a helping hand to their citizens is not the way third world countries are facing the wave. This goes on with pastors, families and so on.

What seems to be faced by all and what we need to understand to walk through the wave are the following:

1. We all face the signs together:

Before COVID-19 came locusts and now everyone colored, white or black are facing the same wave.  People had just lost their produce due to locusts and now people are loosing lives due to the coronavirus (COVID-19). The invading of locusts was a battle cry, it was a warning for me and you to fear in tremble as God's wrath had come upon us, now because of our stubbornness, another sign had to come and to most if not all, nothing of such magnitude has ever been seen before (see Joel 2:1-2 NLT). Like in the old times, fear has griped everyone (Joel 2:6 NLT). Joel says,
"Fear grips all the people; every face grows pale with terror." (Joel 2:6 NLT)
Now that we are all facing the signs together regardless of race or gender or color, what next.

2. Let us all repent and return to God for restoration:

There is no time, people are dying the numbers of death are rapidly increasing, death is not going to warn you, the enemy- death is already at your door step, even the borders are closed, there is no where to run or hide, so repent now and be restored. That is why the LORD (Joel 2:12-13 NLT) says to us through Joel,"Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning... tear your hearts." Joel (Joel 2:13-14 NLT) says, "Return to the LORD your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish. Who knows? Perhaps he will give you a reprieve, sending you a blessing instead of this curse..."
Tell everyone in your household that this is the time to fast. Gather everyone you can: the elders, children and babies, let all of you be remorseful, stand, weep and pray to God to spare you.

After praying to the only true living God, what next.

3. Believe in God, make Praying unceasingly a habit and Be calm as this will pass

Don't be afraid and be glad as you pray and rejoice in the LORD your God. The Bible tells you to hold on to the power of God. The LORD (Joel 2:25 NLT) says, "I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts." The Bible also (Psalms 124:8 NLT) reveals that your help is from LORD who made heaven and earth. So as we pray in help, let us be confident that our help is in Christ Jesus. The Bible makes it clear as the book of Hebrews 2:14-18 NLT reveals to you that,
"Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had [Or has] the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; he came to help the descendants of Abraham. Therefore, it was necessary for him to be made in every respect like us, his brothers and sisters, [Greek like the brothers] so that he could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then he could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. Since he himself has gone through suffering and testing, he is able to help us when we are being tested." (Hebrews 2:14-18 NLT)
Peter talks about this testing that comes through trails like the locusts and the COVID-19. First Peter 4:12 NLT says, "Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you." As a Christian you should know already that just as Christ Jesus suffered on your behalf, you are only sharing in the suffering, and once you believe in Him, trust Him and rely on Him as you follow caution, this is not here to last.

Follow the government's directives, the ministries responsible for handling the disasters in question as you follow God's way and you will pass through the test of time. Proverbs 28:4 NLT says, "To reject the law is to praise the wicked; to obey the law is to fight them." It is therefore important to humble yourself in response to the government's directives. Proverbs 28:9 NKJV says, "One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination." It is only by listening and doing the directives of the government that even your prayers will bare fruit. See the book of Titus 3:1 NLT tells me to remind you believers, "to submit to the government and its officers....be obedient, always ready to do what is good." Titus 3:2 NKJV also encourages you to walk through this disaster with an attitude in which you, "speak evil of no one, ...be peaceable, and gentle, showing all humility to all men." You must therefore follow the Government because it is also blessed by God.

Among what government has told you to do is to go into quarantine. The Bible commands you to go into quarantine. Isaiah 26:20-21 NLT says,
"Go home, my people, and lock your doors!Hide yourselves for a little while until the LORD’s anger has passed. Look! The LORD is coming from heaven to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will no longer hide those who have been killed. They will be brought out for all to see."(Isaiah 26:20-21 NLT)

The government has also directed the churches to close and prayers be done at home. It is time for church to return to the apostolic roots. The Bible (Acts 2:45-47 NLT) shows that the apostles in their time, "worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity [Or and sincere hearts]- all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved." Lets worship at home. God tells you not to believe in gatherings and rather believe in Him. God tells you not to believe in pastors and rather in Him. This time God is testing your faith, is your believe in pastors and gatherings or it is in God himself. Set up a family altar now if your faith is in the God of life, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. It is by your faith that you will survive the test. This test therefore reminds you through the book of Joshua 24:14-16 NLT to, "fear the LORD and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived ... Serve the LORD alone. But if you refuse to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served ...? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD......." I encourage you to never abandon God for any other ungodly form of worshiping. Many of you instead of going to church to worship God you have been attending church because the pastor leading the prayers is your favorite pastor. To others you have been attending church because you have noticed big crowds and gatherings or because there are many friends you can relate to - you never went ever to worship God, now God tells you, all this has been idolatry, you have been worshiping pastors and gatherings instead of God and as such you abandoned God. Return to God and believe in God and only God.

4. Pray, Confess, Dedicate yourself as you hear from heaven and focus on what is not meant to change:

Solomon's prayer of dedication teaches us something. In 2 Chronicles 6:28-31 NLT Solomon prayed, "If there is a famine in the land or a plague or crop disease or attacks of locusts ...—whatever disaster or disease there is— and if your people .... pray about their troubles or sorrow, raising their hands ..., then hear from heaven where you live, and forgive. Give your people what their actions deserve, for you alone know each human heartThen they will fear you and walk in your ways as long as they live ...." We have not been fearing God. All we have been doing is develop weapons, fight each other, we have been racists and sectarians. now is the time to change all our ungodly ways. You all belong to Christ no matter your tribe, your gender, let us submit  ourselves back to God (James 4:7 NLT) and get closer to God as God as well gets closer to us (James 4:8 NLT). Some of you have been too busy to even pray to God, I tell you now, Stop distancing yourself from God. Allow him to be your God and He will allow you to belong to him and He will protect you. So be flexible and remember God has not changed. Hebrews 13:7-8 NLT says this is the time to, "Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."If you thought God changed, now you must rethink again because God is the same yesterday, today and forever He will remain the same.

5. Know Church is you, Be compassionate and Look to those in need:

I know you are going through a trying time. In this time, God wants to use you to help others. Let your help go to those in need and not those in want. let your hand reach out right now to those without. In times of trouble God is with others through you.  The book of 2 Corinthians 4:8-14 NLT shows how we are used by God as God works within us to encourage us to walk boldly as this is just the continuation to the story of the mission Christ left us to pursue, it shows, you are pressed on every side by troubles, but you are not crushed. You are perplexed, but not driven to despair. You are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. You get knocked down, but you are not destroyed. Through suffering, your bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in your bodies. Yes, you live under constant danger of death because you serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in your dying bodies. So you live in the face of death, but this with faith in Christ Jesus, this is meant to result in eternal life for you. Therefore, you continue to preach because you have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, "I believed in God, so I spoke [Psalms 116:10 NLT]." You know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus,[some manuscripts read who raised Jesus] will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. See, Easter emphasizes that with our trust in Christ Jesus, we emerge winners no matter what happens. So start trusting in the Lord now and cling to the open door of life right now.

May the Good Lord bless you. Be cautious and not fearful. God never gave you a spirit of fear, He gave you his power, love and self discipline. Lets all believe in our Lord Christ Jesus as well as follow guidelines given to us by our governments, and health ministries.

For You who has never given your life to Christ

You do not want to go through this disaster when you are not born again. You are welcome to the life of salvation. Believe me you do not know what the future holds for you in this disaster.

so pray and give YOUR LIFE TO CHRIST say:

My Lord Christ Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I submit my life to you. I confess my sins and ask you to come into my life and save me. I want to know You. I want to learn to trust You. I know I can not save myself. As of today and now, I ask you into my mind - heart - and soul as I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Please help me in Your name because I believe I am now born again. Amen.
