"The Unchanging Promise of God"

Numbers 23:19 (AMP Bible):

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it?"

Praise God, Beloved Family of Faith!

Today, I stand before you with a heart full of hope and a message that resonates deeply within the very core of our faith. As we gather in the presence of our Lord, let us turn our attention to the profound truth found in Numbers 23:19: God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good and fulfill it?

In a world filled with uncertainty, where promises are often broken and trust is frequently betrayed, we find solace in the unwavering nature of our God. He is not like us; He is not bound by the limitations of humanity. When He speaks, His words carry the weight of eternity. When He makes a promise, He fulfills it with absolute faithfulness. Let us understand this in 3 ways here:

1. The Nature of God’s Promises

Let us reflect on the nature of God’s promises. They are not mere words spoken in haste; they are declarations of His character. When God promises healing, He is not just offering a temporary fix; He is offering restoration to our very souls. When He promises peace, it is not a fleeting moment of calm, but a deep-seated assurance that transcends all understanding.

In your life, you may be facing challenges that seem insurmountable. You may be battling illness, grief, or despair. But I urge you to remember that God’s promises are true. He has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). He has declared, “By His stripes, we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). These are not empty words; they are the foundation upon which we build our faith.

2. The Call to Trust

Now, my dear brothers and sisters, the question arises: Do we truly trust in these promises? Trusting God means surrendering our fears and doubts to Him. It means believing that He is capable of doing what He has said He will do. It requires us to step out in faith, even when the path ahead seems unclear.

In the book of Romans, we are reminded that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). Let us immerse ourselves in His Word, allowing it to transform our hearts and minds. Let us cling to His promises, for they are our anchor in the storm.

3. The Invitation to Relationship

As we reflect on the faithfulness of God, I want to extend a heartfelt invitation to each one of you. If you have not yet given your life to Christ, I urge you to consider the incredible love He has for you. He desires a personal relationship with you, one that is built on trust, faith, and love.

Christ Jesus came to this earth, not to condemn us, but to save us. He took upon Himself our sins, our burdens, and our pain. He offers us forgiveness and a new beginning. All we need to do is accept Him into our hearts and believe in His promises.

Now that you have understood the unchanging nature of God's promise, let us conclude with a Response of Faith.

Conclusion: A Response of Faith

As we close, I invite you to reflect on your own life. Are there areas where you need to trust God more? Are there promises you have yet to claim? And for those who have not yet accepted Christ, I encourage you to take that step of faith today.

Prayer

Let us pray together, asking the Holy Spirit to move in our hearts, to strengthen our faith, and to draw us closer to Him. May we leave this place renewed in our trust and filled with the hope that comes from knowing our God is faithful.

Heavenly Father,

As we gather in Your presence, we come with open hearts, yearning for Your divine touch. We invite the Holy Spirit to move powerfully within us, igniting a flame of faith that cannot be extinguished. May Your Spirit fill us with wisdom, guiding our thoughts and actions in alignment with Your will.

Lord, we ask that You strengthen our faith in times of uncertainty and doubt. Remind us that even in our struggles, Your love surrounds us, and Your promises are unbreakable. Help us to cast aside our fears and embrace the peace that comes from trusting in You.

As we leave this sacred space, may we be renewed and transformed. Let the hope that springs from our relationship with You overflow in our lives, inspiring those around us. May we become vessels of Your love and grace, sharing the light of Christ with everyone we encounter.

We thank You for Your unwavering faithfulness, for the countless blessings You bestow upon us, and for the assurance that You are always near. In moments of joy and in times of trial, may we always remember that we are never alone, for You walk beside us every step of the way.

In the mighty name of Christ Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

You have been Church-Built and healed. Please voluntarily and sincerely give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love in all circumstances. This is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Pray, tithe, and sow healing seeds to Him, who can do immeasurably more than you ask or imagine. Act in faith and obedience, and be doers of the word, not just hearers.
